Chemigraphia I

I am endlessly fascinated by these chemical interactions recording themselves as they occur. Through my research, my experimentation, and my development of process, I add my skill as a conductor, but the music that occurs is of its own making. It is as exuberant and ever-arising as life itself, and I watch it occur with the breathless anticipation of a child. Requiring no camera, no darkroom, it is also as simple as photography can possibly be, paying homage to the earliest practitioners of the art of making marks via light and chemistry. As a women in my 3rd act, it is important to me to feel a part of the long march of photographic history, a keeper of the flame from one generation to the next.
